Secret Beach Hike- Vandenberg

Are you looking for something to do on your upcoming Family Day? Have you explored our amazing beaches and sea caves right here on base yet?

Come venture with us as our Outdoor Recreation staff explore the rocky beaches and sea caves along Wall Beach!

When: 0930 – 1330, 17 June 2022

Where: Meet at the ODR parking lot

Who: All people of all ages and abilities are welcome to join, as long as you can get base access. This is a trail that is accessible to all, no matter your physical abilities: there will be plenty for you to see and explore from the breathtakingly beautiful gravel road without needing to go down to the beaches. Whether you’ve been to these beaches yet or not, there will be something fun for you!

What: Our staff will lead a group to unique locations along the road north of Wall Beach. We will be exploring awe-inspiring views, hidden sea caves, tide pools and rocky beaches north of Wall Beach. Depending on where you want to explore, be prepared for hikes along gravel roads, sandy beaches, uneven rocks, and a potential to get wet due to tides.
